Mark Deere

Name: Mark Deere.

Company: Supporting SME Leaders.

Position: Proprietor.

What does your organisation do: I’m a born and bred entrepreneur and am incredibly serious (and very passionate) about supporting sustainable business growth for SMEs in the UK; it’s what I was born to do.

I’ve worked with many businesses (both SME and corporate) and am incredibly proud to claim credit for taking a major PLC (anonymous for confidentiality reasons) from £100million to £130million whilst spending three years at the helm.

Having previously run three very different £1million+ businesses; a field marketing firm, point of sale supplier and temping agency, in 2003 I found my calling; to provide ‘been there, done that’ advice to fellow entrepreneurs in the UK.

Having the unique perspective of a Managing Director and multiple business owner, I created ‘Supporting SME Leaders’ to combine my experience and advice from external professionals such as bankers, solicitors and accountants.

Other than that, I’ve also been invited to be a guest lecturer for students doing a BA in Business at Leeds Beckett University and often speak at Chamber of Trade conferences on topics relating to the development of SMEs.
